Fall is unofficially landing this weekend. Are You Ready?
Ready or not, falls official arrival is not until later this month, but traditionally when it’s Labor Day, it’s fall.
By now, most children are back to school, and the abundance of pumpkins and mums and the cooler morning temps signify autumn.
The best part of fall is not just that it’s my birthday month, but New York Fashion Week starts Friday, September 9, and goes until Wednesday, September 14. During NYFW, I like to follow Instagram to watch street fashions for fall inspiration. even though the shows present styles for Spring/Summer 2023.
You can search the Council of Fashion Designers Association’s Runway 360 designer directory for the Fashion Calendar of shows you want to view online. Some shows are digitation activations, and others are live runway shows.
The Fashion Calendar creation credit goes to Ruth Finley (January 14, 1920 – August 25, 2018). the founder and publisher. Ruth published the Fashion Calendar for more than 65 years. On October 1, 2014, the CFDA acquired the Fashion Calendar.

New York Fashion Week: September 9 – 12
London Fashion Week: September 16 – 20
Milan Fashion Week: September 20 – 26
Paris Fashion Week: September 26 – October 4
Publicist Eleanor Lambert (August 10, 1903 – October 7, 2003) started this fashion trade association in 1962. What is the purpose of CFDA?
To strengthen the impact of the American style on the global economy
goals of creating diversity, inclusion, and equity in fashion.
It’s worth noting that Lambert, a fashion publicist was not only the founder of NYFW and the CFDA but the iconic red carpet-themed Met Gala and the International Best Dressed List.
