My Annual Sweet Birthday Treat
My most rewarding self-care indulgence is my membership at the Chocolate Spa at the Hotel Hershey.  A spa treatment is my annual sweet birthday treat.

I relish the pampering at the Spa at the Hotel Hershey since it opened in 2001.  For those 20 years, the facility expanded from 17,000 square feet to 40,000 square feet.  Why? To accommodate destination guests and locals like me.

We don’t need studies to prove that regular self-care is essential to reduce or eliminate anxiety and depression, reduce stress, improve concentration, and minimize frustration, anger.  As well as increase happiness and enhance energy.

I’m intentional about my monthly facials, bi-weekly manicures, and pedicures. I see these services as regular maintenance to help me present my best self.

I view spa treatments as elevated self-care that I prefer to do more than often instead of waiting for special occasions. I tried a massage new to me called the Rose Garden for 80 minutes.

My birthday fell on a Thursday; the Spa gets many guests towards the weekend. Unlike last year’s visit during COVID-19.  My recommendations do earlier in the week.

Healthy Lunch option for guests-only at the Spa at the Hotel Hershey

When booking my spa services, I did make lunch reservations at The Oasis, the spa guest-only lounge that overlooks the manicured gardens of the Hotel Hershey.

My birthday sweet treat didn’t end with just a visit to the Sweetest Place on Earth.  But a day trip to Lansdale, Pennsylvania.

Why Lansdale? Thank you, Ariel. I received a gift certificate from Scent & Sip, a shop to design custom fragrances for candles, body care, and home fragrance.
