In case you missed my Clubhouse Room on Saturday, I did a branding session with creative consultant Elliot Carlyle.
“Your brand is what other people say about you when you’re not in the room.” Jeff Bezos
“A Brand Is Not Just A Logo, A Website, or Your Business Cards. It’s An Experience.” Anonymous
If nothing else, after blogging for eight years, I do know. What? When building your community, your message must be clear about who you are, your goal, whom you want to attract, and your audience.
As midlifers, we all have a story to tell. Any of the social media platforms allow us to tell our story and connect. Fortunately, Saturday’s Clubhouse session with Elliot was manageable, with each participant getting one-on-one branding concerns answered.
Clubhouse connections:
Colleen, Podcaster, Hot Flashes and Cool Topics
Cynthia, Etsy Store Owner, 2Chic Designs
Debbie, Blogger, Grace, and Aging
Julie, Interior Designer and Author, Julie RM Design
Urszula, Yoga and Wellness Instructor, U Bell Well 4 Life
Elliot’s book, The Influence Workbook, encourages soul-searching to answer the who and what questions needed to create a mission statement and brand messaging.
When my daughter Channing helped me create my mission statement eight years ago, it still reminds me of my focus, aging gracefully for midlifers and style over 50.
Every Clubhouse participant concerned Elliot about how branding doesn’t happen overnight. We all want that organic growth immediately, but nothing happens overnight; it takes hard work, dedication, and passion to stay the course.
I particularly like Chapter Four of the workbook, which focuses on the Three Cs:
Consistency ➡️ Passion & Drive
Commitment ➡️ Focus & Goals
Control ➡️ Shifts & Changes
Congratulations to the winner of Elliot’s Book, The Influence Workbook: Trajectify Your Life: Your Blueprint for Engagement, Cynthia.
I hope to do another Clubhouse session with Elliot Carlyle. However, feel free to purchase his easy-to-read book, which is only 80 pages long.
