Not everybody wants to acknowledge cultural awareness for Black History Month, so I am using my voice to celebrate the artistry of Black-owned brands. More than a few years ago, in 2021, I decided to become a conscious consumer and avoid fast fashion.

After deleting the Zara app, I focused on making slower, more sustainable purchases, all while reducing my carbon footprint. Fast fashion is easy to wear, affordable, and ships quickly. Unfortunately, it lacks craftsmanship and is notorious for its lack of sustainability.
