My holiday season began with a visit to Longwood Gardens, where I enjoyed their magical Christmas exhibits. Soon after, I received an invitation to the Laura Geller Beauty Italian Holiday dinner at Amali in NYC. Grazie!
I’ve discussed Laura before, so this reminds everyone of her credentials. Laura Geller is a talented makeup artist who launched her line of products in 1993. After working as a freelance makeup artist for Broadway Theaters, she became a beauty ambassador for QVC and introduced Laura Geller Beauty on the platform in 1997. The highlight and contour kits sold out quickly on QVC.
I admire Laura Geller, the beauty brand. Laura inspires women to be their best. I first learned about her from my stylist friend, Toi Sweeney, who met Laura at QVC Studios. Toi worked with online presenters and QVC hosts, styling them for their online appearance.
Laura knows how to celebrate her accomplishments and encourages women to recognize themselves. Fast-forward to December 2022, when I attended the 25th-anniversary celebration party for Laura Geller Beauty at Laduree in Soho. Then, in October 2023, the launch party for the Wheel of Fortune campaign.
I invited Kim, whom I met in 2017 at a Chico’s Fashion Show/MeetUp, to be my plus-one for the Italian Holiday. I momentarily forgot how challenging driving into New York City can be during the holidays. We arrived nearly one hour late but still had a delightful evening meeting new beauty influencers and reconnecting with familiar faces.

How about some of the Housewives of New Jersey attended the Laura Geller Beauty Italian Dinner at Amali NYC? I met Margaret Joseph when she and her business partner, Lexi Barbuto, shared their sparkling mocktail, Drink Soirée, at the Wheel of Fortune campaign launch party. It looks like some of the other housewives, Dolores Catania and Jess Fessler, joined in on the Laura Geller holiday festivities.
