It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Hotel Hershey; it’s merry and bright at the sweetest place on earth.
For more than 85 years, the Hotel Hershey has created sweet, memorable experiences. My early memories as a child include bus rides from Philly to visit the amusement park during the summers. When I saw the Hershey Kiss Street lamps, I knew we had arrived at the sweetest place on earth.
Hershey is now a resort destination since the Spa, affectionately known as The Chocolate Spa, opened in 2001.
The best brunch in Central Pennsylvania is at the Circular dining room at the Hotel Hershey. And it is my favorite place to celebrate special occasions.
For my ultimate self-care luxury, it’s the Spa at the Hotel Hershey. On most birthdays, anniversaries, and end-of-year staycations, you can find me indulging in massages and lounging all day with hubby, daughter, or friends.
As a Chocolate Spa member, I receive a complimentary overnight stay at the Hotel Hershey. Because of COVID-19, many of the restaurants on the premises were not open; perhaps it’s busier during the weekends.
In 2009, a $67 million expansion included the addition of premium cottages and the Harvest restaurant. We secured dinner reservations at the Harvest. A second expansion alleviated the backlog in getting signature chocolate treatments at the Spa.
My daughter and I’s treatments included the Rose Garden massages and whipped cocoa baths. And reservations for lunch at the Oasis restaurant just for the Spa attendees.
I plan to schedule future spa appointments and overnight accommodations in the middle of the week. Monday was busy. Perhaps customers felt more comfortable getting back to regular activities or using their gift certificates before they expired. Last year, COVID-19 health pandemic restrictions didn’t stop my stay at the hotel.
Don’t we love this merry and bright time of the year? The fascination and the extent people decorate to celebrate the birth of our Saviour.
