Here it is, the first of September and a long holiday weekend. It’s hard to believe, Labor Day on Monday marks the unofficial end of summer. Did you go back to your regular planned vacations? If not, how are you managing to carve out space for yourself during this time?
With the option of many COVID-19 vaccines, I thought the world would be normal again. The Delta variant continues to loom over us.
It’s deja vu with 2020 all over again. I see mask restrictions back in place and limitations to how many people can and should gather together.
Between the Coronavirus and the Delta variant, for me, there is an element of uncertainty about planning for travel, especially internationally.
Statistics say that burnout, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse are on the rise. Many people are finding it hard to separate their work from their personal lives.
How I’m staying strong during these uncertain times:
Connecting with Friends
Peddler’s Village with Bloggers
Building Support Networks:
Dabbled in Clubhouse
Started an AZ Sisterhood Zoom Group
Hobbies:
Gardening
Blogging
Getting Out of the House Activities:
Hotel Hershey Overnight Stay and Spa Services
First-ever Outdoor Philadelphia Flower Show
Alfresco dining at Fels Points, Maryland
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
Harrisburg Art Association Event
Health
Journaling since my Mom’s passing
Kept up to date with all health screenings and check-ups, including dental, mammogram, and eyes
Purging and helping to reduce my carbon footprint by donating clothes to Goodwill
I hope you commit to carving out space for living intentionally, especially during this unprecedented time.
As always, thank you for reading.
