Hello, Beauties🌸 Today, post, It’s March – Everyone Is Going Green, including me.
Why is everyone going green? I bet you think it’s because St. Patty’s Day is later this month. Or it’s the Pantone 2019 Color of the Year, Living Coral. I’m linking with the Ageless Style Blogger group for the Wear Something Green theme.
I enjoy participating in blogger linkups. It’s an opportunity to connect with like-minded people and expand my network. I prefer to shop my closet and polish my creativity skills at these linkups, especially when I think I have nothing to wear.
For my green theme goal, I chose the trending monochromatic look. An online source says that in fashion terms, monochromatic dressing means wearing separates of one color with different textures and similar shades of that same color for an overall tonal look.
Let’s start at the top, my green outfit of the day: a final sale J—crew oversized heather green wrap. Instead of draping or wrapping, I created a sweater look by tying the oversized scarf around my body and knotting it in the back.
I like the versatility and drama of wraps. They are great when traveling by plane, on cold nights at a Napa Valley Jazz Concert, or bundled scarf around my neck for a chic, warm look.
The accordion green pleated skirt is from Target’s Who What Wear 2016 Collection. I never thought I could wear a pleated skirt because of my pear-shaped silhouette. However, the skirt’s elastic waist allows a better drape over my rear.

I purchased my accessories, the Vince Camuto fingerless leather fatigue green gloves, in 2014. There are some colors that I don’t own; green is one of them. When I see unique pieces and colors, I buy them to expand my closet’s color palette.
The Brandon Blackwood Kendrick trunk bag is another end-of-season 2017 sale purchase, and it is right on point with the micro-bag trend.
Not since the Pantone 2017 Greenery Color of the Year do I remember hearing so much about the color green. Or is it Kermit the Frog’s Bein’ Green song? What about you? Do you embrace the color green? Do tell in the comments section.
As always, thank you for reading. Have a fabulous week.
