The Magnificient 8 is a collaboration among eight stylish women from every decade of life, showcasing our style one generation at a time. The mission of this joint effort is to show how ageless style is; how we can see each dress however we’d like and in ways that make us feel fabulous.

The American Heart Association recommends 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily. I typically walk at least 10,000 steps daily, every day of the week. I also like to add variety and fun to my physical activity with my weighted hula hoop.

The American Council on Exercise showed that weighted hooping burns over 400 calories/hour. Hooping is an intense workout that helps to tone and strengthen muscles, making it the perfect workout for one of the heart’s most important muscles.

If you hate running or walking on an exercise machine, a weighted hula hoop is a great way to get in cardio each week. Cardiovascular exercise can help promote long-life health and reduce the risk of heart disease. Still not convinced?
