The ninety-three days of summer are winding down. Tis the season for fall shopping. I can always count on Talbots to update my wardrobe with classic, modern, timeless pieces.
Some things are just classic, a red door, a camelback sofa, a two-story Colonial home, and Talbots. A long-lasting American women’s clothing brand since 1947. The first store opened in Hingham, Massachusetts by Rudolf and Nancy Talbot.
Talbots and I go way back before the virtual online shopping experience. My closet is full of classic pieces that I still wear, a pink gingham jacket and a dotted-swiss blazer to name a few. Oh, the dresses, always perfection, check out this one, I get compliments every time I wear it. And I wore the classic black and white dress on my first trip to Paris in 2012.
My very first post five years ago, I wore a leopard cotton velvet jacket seen here and here. I couldn’t resist taking the leopard jacket on my second trip to Paris, 2016. I still sport the iconic pattern; it is a significant and eternally chic piece I reach for every fall season.
It was a natural choice to collaborate with this brand. It’s obvious I like Talbots. The reason I shop Talbots. They carry designs for everybody including pear-shaped me. The sizing includes misses, women’s, curvy, tall, as well as petite. The clothing line is feminine and flattering with well made easy pieces to style up or down.
