Now that we’re getting deeper into the fall season with the chilly morning temps and rustling of felled leaves, It’s officially boots season! Are western-inspired boots on your radar?
Why am I asking specifically about Western-inspired shoe styles? It’s the last Wednesday of the quarter, and it’s time for the Magnificent 8-style challenge.
For this styling assignment, the agreed-upon theme was to go west with cowboy or western-inspired fashions. I drew my inspiration from my love of watching reruns of the Wild West television adventures of Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Big Valley. I’m channeling the matriarch, Victoria Barkley, on The Big Valley.
For the Western aesthetic, characteristic pieces that come to mind are cowboy hats, denim shirts, midi skirts, denim jeans, fringe jackets, and leather or a prairie dress.
The most obvious choice for the Wild West aesthetic is a wide-brim cowboy hat. However, I chose to sport these Elleme suede booties, which I scored at Bloomingdales online for $35.00 using my rewards points. I shopped my closet for this all-black faux leather moto jacket, midi skirt, and Cult Gaia Astraea leather bag.
This post represents Magnificent 8’s last style collaboration for 2022. Let me remind you of this year’s fashion statements already showcased:
