Have You Taken A Ride on the Strasburg Rail Road Wine & Cheese Train Through the Amish COmmunity?s
Many recognize Hershey, Pennsylvania, as “the sweetest place on earth.” From my account, it is a beautiful attraction. Nevertheless, nearby Lancaster County is a must-see and visit area. I’m sharing my recent wine and cheese train ride through the Amish community today.

The Strasburg Rail Road

Lancaster County’s motto is the Garden Spot of America. Why? Agriculture is an essential part of Lancaster; there are over 5,000 farms with nearly 400 greenhouses.

Lancaster County’s Amish community is one of the largest in the United States. My personal Lancaster experiences involve food like Shady Maple Smorgasbord in East Earl and the enormous array of Pennsylvania Dutch food. And if you want a fantastic champagne brunch, it’s Eden Resort.

As America’s oldest continuously operating railroad, last weekend was not my first visit. This attraction became a family favorite for my young children, especially the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania across the street.

The Strasburg Rail Road operates with a fleet of historic wooden passenger coaches. My daughter, Channing, and I relaxed in the comforts of the luxurious first-class parlor dining car No. 75 for our selections of wine and cheese.

The 45-minute train ride to and from the delightfully named Paradise, PA, provided rural views on a fantastic breezy day. Sitting back and seeing horses, cows, and goats grazing the land is relaxing.

I admire businesses that know how to create experiences. The Strasburg Rail Road provides excellent ideas for people to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday living.

On this chilly June day at the Strasburg Rail Road,

Earlier today, Channing and I met with my favorite niece photographer, Kenya Pickles. Thank you for a beautiful lunch at P.F. Chang in Lancaster.
