Are the dog days of summer here yet? Last week’s heatwave and soaring temperatures indicate a yes. It’s sultry hot, and everybody, including Magnificient 8, is wearing all-white.
The color white is insanely fresh and chic. All-white is considered a neutral color, like beige, black, taupe, gray, and black. All of which are tasteful and timeless. Plus, subdued colors like white beat the heat.
Don’t we love an invitation to a theme party? How about Truman Capote’s 1966 legendary Party of Century: Black and White Ball? And the piece de resistance, the annual Met Gala.
But wait, have you heard about Dîner en Blanc, the swanky soirée? The Dîner en Blanc concept began in 1988 in Paris. Frenchman François Pasquier invited friends to an elegant outdoor dinner and asked them to wear all-white.
Today, Dîner en Blanc is now a global phenomenon spanning six continents, in which people gather in a public space to set up a temporary, chic dining area. Guests come dressed in white to enjoy food and wine,

My all-white outfit for the linkUp, from my closet, I chose a second-hand David Meister dress purchased online from The Real Real. For a finishing touch, I added a new Zara all-white organza blouse with my gold metallic heels that serve as a neutral color instead of wearing white.
