Hello, Beauties๐ธ Today’s post is all about The Mini Fierce Con NYC MeetUp at Fig & Olive on Saturday, October 20.
It’s worth remembering the Forever Fierce meetUps since becoming a member of this all-girls over the age of 50 community. You may recall the first one in 2017 at Chico’s on Broadway. In 2018, a total of four more events all in NYC. In March, Chico’s How Bold Are You, in May proper bra fitting at Rigby & Peller, and September, Athleta, getting athleisure inspiration. I also met up one-on-one with Instagram friends, Lesley, and Brenda in June.
This get-together, less than three weeks to plan and organize to coincide with the Fierce Con LA event. Our small intimate lunch at Fig & Olive, a great restaurant to explore and enjoy each others company.

Kim won the $150 Cucumber Clothing Giveaway. Cucumber Clothing specializes in revolutionary patented wicking fabric to assist staying cool in no sweat nightwear and loungewear. I will need to check out this brand. I still get hot flashes mostly at night from menopause.
I would be remiss if I didn’t again mention all the wonderful swag bag beauty donations and the rewire and inspire themed pink tote/goodies from Forever Fierce leader, Catherine Grace O’Connell.

I need to mention the Mediterranean/French cuisine at Fig & Olive. I heard about the burrata and crostini as choice appetizers, but I chose the fig and olive salad for lunch.
Bestie, Cythnia and I have this habit of stopping at New York’s own Nathan’s Famous Hotdogs in Penn Station for a kosher dog with kraut; there’s something about taking the NJ Transit that makes us hungry. Or perhaps, it is getting up at the crack of dawn to meet at King of Prussia Mall to start our journey into Manhattan.
The ladies and I solidified our time together with one last group photo. Although small in number, we do relish our connections and opportunities to share and support one another.
What do you do when you want to continue the conversation? In a city that never sleeps, you find a hip spot nearby like the Baccarat Hotel. The modern, elegant hotel looks unassuming from the outside. However, once inside, “unabashed opulence is what you get as soon as you step into the lobby.”
So, Michele, Cynthia, Lydia and me couldn’t resist a photo opp to capture the ambiance of the Baccarat luxury cocktail bar. You notice the fabulous crystal chandeliers? They are Baccarat. You remember the Baccarat history, right? The name is synonymous with royalty, as in King Louis XV. It is the legendary French crystal company whose artisans mastered their craft over 250 years.
Julie, Mindy, Jannette, Michele, Elise, Kim, Cynthia, and Lydia, thank you for The Mini Fierce Con NYC MeetUp, another memorable event. Not a member of this movement? You need to join; there are ladies all over the United States and beyond. It’s a global organization with 6,000 women. Join the Facebook group today.
A special thank you to Catherine for providing all your support and sharing the resources/goodies from Fierce Con LA. I appreciate your kindness and generosity.
Thank you for reading! Have a fabulous week beauties๐ธ
