Ever at a loss to find the perfect shade of lipstick? Are you growing tired of the same old same old selections to add a pop of color to your lips?  Looking for more natural options? As fifty-plus boomers wanting to keep up our beauty game.  BFF Cynthia and I traveled to Manhattan recently to meet up with our fave millennials for custom made lip colors at the Bite Beauty Lip Lab in Soho.

In 2009 Susanne Langmuir, after 16 years designing and formulating beauty products,  Susanne began to develop sensitivity to non-natural ingredients and fragrance chemicals.  When her search for a natural, high-performing lipstick left her disappointed, she headed into her own lab to formulate something better.  In 2011, Bite Beauty Lip Lab debuted in Toronto, Canada.  In October 2013, the Bite Beauty summer pop-up shop converted into a permanent store at 174 Prince Street in Soho.

The color purple. Many of us remember Steven Spielberg’s 1985 movie, The Color Purple. You also may recall in 2014 Pantone selected a purple, radiant orchid as it’s color of the year.  According to surveys in Europe and the United States, purple is the color most often associated with royalty, magic, mystery and piety.
