In celebration of my 4th blogiversary, I salute former first lady Michelle Obama. Today, I serenade Mrs. O because she represented style and substance.
I know I’m not the only one who couldn’t keep their eyes off of Michelle when she exploded on the scene back in 2007. It was when Barack Obama, then just a junior Senator from Illinois, announced his candidacy for President of the United States.

My hubby and I motored to New York City for a belated birthday celebration with our daughter, Channing, a fashion journalist. Upon our arrival on Friday evening, we commenced the weekend’s festivities with a literary-themed dining experience at The Writing Room in her neighborhood.
