How-to-have-inner-beauty

Even though subscribing to magazines through different apps and e-readers is extremely prevalent, I still like to subscribe to the actual magazines, that I can hold in my hands. It’s relaxing to read about fashion and beauty (it’s a Calgon moment—take me away).  I find it interesting that 90% of the articles one reads in the fashion magazines focus on outer beauty.

Eleanor Roosevelt said, “No matter how plain a woman may be, if truth and honesty are written across her face, she will be beautiful.”

What is it that really makes a woman beautiful as she ages with grace?

Here are my tips achieving inner beauty, so you that you may age gracefully:

    1. Love one another, even your enemies.
    2. Forgive and forget. Forgiveness Makes your free; unforgiveness keeps you connected to negative events. From your past.
    3. Speak life. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue….”  Evil thinking affects the physical body.
    4. Smile. Be Happy!  It takes a greater number of facial muscles to frown that it does to smile. Remember the 1988 single acapella recording by Bobby McFerrin, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy?”
    5. Pray for others. “And the Lord turned captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends; also, the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before”
    6. Share your blessings.
    7. Stop and smell the roses.
    8. Be thankful.
    9. Don’t allow anger to hardened your heart.  Anger rests in the bosom of fools.
    10. Sleep, religiously. A minimum of 8 hours every night works for me.Road to Grace post
